eq's daily activities and/or trips are safe, enjoyable and designed to suit the skill levels of those who register. daily activities generally begin with instruction and understanding of skills which is followed by the activitiy itself.
the day trips listed below are a selection of activities that eq offers to enhance school curriculums and outdoor skills
-Rock Climbing (Fall,Spring, Summer):
-Learn the basics of rock climbing and bouldering throughout the Okanagan Region. This can be a one day activity or expanded into a longer lesson if groups are interested!
-River Running (Fall,Spring, Summer):
- Spend the day on the river kayaking and enjoying the gentle currents in the Okanagan. These can be day trips, weekend escapes or basic intructional courses on techniques such as kayak rolling. The more time you spend with us, the more advanced we will go with you!
-Tele-Skiing (Winter):
Learn the basics of telemark skiing, a technique of back-country skiing that involve hiking and deep powder downhill turns! This can bea one day activity or a weekend-long trip. Also included are some avalanche technology basics.
-Snowshoeing (Winter):
Learn the basic elements of snowshoeing as you explore the mountainous back-country landscapes of British Columbia. Showshoeing is a more relaxed activity hat will have you sightseeing and enjoying the untamed wilderness that B.C has to offer.
-Lake Kayak Touring (Fall, Spring, Summer):
Come and enjoy te world-renknown Okanagan lakes like Lake Okanagan and the beautfiul Kalamalka Lake first hand. Kayak touring is easily one of the most enjoyable things we do, and with a few basic instructions, you'll be on your way enjoying the sun and paddling.
-Stand-Up Boarding (Fall, Spring, Summer) :
Come out and learn the new surfing-inspired craze of stand-up boarding straight from Hawaii. With instructors who have experience in both the Hawaiian Islands and on freshwater lakes, you will quickly learn the basics of this activity and soon be able to explore the lakes in no time.
-Cycling (Fall, Spring, Summer):
Ride with us on the Kettle Valley trail throughout the Okanagan or on the famous Galloping Goose in Victoria, British Coulmbia. These can be day tours or weekend tours depending on what you are looking for. You will experience both challenging rides and relaxing peddles through a variety of landscapes.
-First Nations Immerson (Fall, Spring, Summer, Winter):
Here, you will be learning the basic techniques that were once and still remain to be utilized by the First Nations Peoples of Canada. This is an excellent course for understanding First Nations' culture and lifestyles. Some activities will include basket-making, tracking, beading, hide-tanning and starting fires with the bow-drill. This course will be especially useful for those studying First nations' culture in highschool and/or university as the instructors have had over 30 years experience in learning and teaching these skills with the First Nations' People.
-Hiking (Fall, Spring, Summer, Winter):
We have many places that we would love for yo to see, so come and join one of our daily hikes through the Okanagan region and have the opportunity to see the outdoors at its finest. These can be daily or weekend excursions depending on group size and level of interest. Through our hikes you'll get to see the wild fauna and flora of Canada's best in wilderness.
