British Columbia isn't just called the greatest place on earth for nothing. beautiful oceans, long sandy beaches, unpopulated forests that are lush with coastal trees and ferns, miles of untouched mountains with world class powder skiing, hiking and exploration and wild animals that can't be seen anywhere but here. as an interantional student, you'll not only see these things, but you'll ride them, ski them, play on them, fly to them and be able to tell family and friends at home that you've experienced something they never will.
join us for a 9-10 week program, one in the fall and one in the spring. you'll be with around 15 local students, meaning you'll be communicating, working and playing with people your age, outside the classroom and in the greatest environment on the planet.
the earthquest international program provides students from abroad with an opportunity to expereince the Canadian wilderness, culture and English language to its greatest potential.
students will explore, experience and gain valuable skills within their emotional, physical and intellectual faculties by learning about the environment and themselves in a holsitic and meaningful manner.
an individual's full immersion into a particular culture and language through one's interaction with others and their environments encourages a greater cultural understanding.
in turn, these skills become particularily useful in promoting the mastering of the English language and assist in helping one to achieve unparalleled success at univeristy and/or other higher educational institutions.
in addition to the core objectives of the program, the international program strives to:
• provide students with the opportunity to explore the cultural and natural diversity of Canada with an emphasis on beautiful British Columbia.
• expose students to authentic Canadian world-renowned adventure hospitality.
• build confidence communicating in English through all forms of communication.
• provide skill sets that assist students in being more competitive in university applications and settings.
